Jan Cavelle Furniture has been nominated by West Suffolk MP Matthew Hancock as part of the Associate parliamentary manufacturing group’s ‘Made by Britain’. 650 MP’s were asked to find a product that is manufactured in their constituency with the objective to draw up a diverse and comprehensive picture of contemporary British industry for inclusion on the Manufacturing groups ‘Made by Britain’ map. 'Made by Britain' has been developed as collaboration between the Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group, and the 1851 Royal Commission: an organization with a long and distinguished career in supporting British industry.

‘Made by Britain’ is about getting MPs to engage more thoroughly with manufacturing businesses in their constituencies. A programme of activities will take place over the next year, which will involve physical exhibitions, competitions and parliamentary events with a ‘Parliament’s Manufacturer of the Year” award to follow.
