ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT The company is committed to a role of environmental leadership in all facets of our business. We will fulfil this mission by a commitment to the following: We recognise that it is our fiscal responsibility to contribute to our environmental future and to do so, we promote understanding and strive to encourage all to share our concerns of environmental issues both at management level and with all our staff. We aim to seriously tackle carbon dioxide emissions across all aspects of our business We recognise that while at this time it may not be possible to produce a marketable product in a totally green way, it is our responsibility to develop innovative and flexible solutions to progress towards this and any and all growing contributions are of essential value, and we aim to consistently measure and monitor our progress towards this aim. We recognise that towards this aim it is increasingly important to strive to buy and use environmentally friendly products who themselves have responsible environmental policies, or who offset the carbon footprint on the products you purchase. With timber purchases we support suppliers who are part of the Chain of Custody schemes, that the timber materials can be traced back to well managed forests where they originated. To help with carbon sequestration ourselves, we are a corporate member of The Woodland Trust Charity.
Energy Conservation Will be promoted in the choice of building, vehicles, plant and machinery and refurbishments will take into account measures to monitor and reduce use of oil, electricity and gas. Environmental needs will be taken into account with all new building or refurbishment.

Environment We accept our responsibility to protect the quality of air, land and water We undertake to make every effort to prevent the spillage of hazardous waste We undertake to follow COSSH principles with the use of hazardous materials
Procurement of wood based materials Special care will be taken in the selection of suppliers of all wood based materials to ensure suppliers are committed to the purchase of these products from legal sources and to ensure wherever possible they are produced from well managed forests. We recognize that some regions from which products are sourced present greater environmental risk than others and if demand decrees the purchase from these areas, we aim to work with suppliers who demonstrate a commitment towards improving the level of sustainability within their activities. As a naturally renewable resource, timber is the most environmentally friendly raw material available today.
