Girls! Make Your Mark is a campaign to encourage more young women to have ideas and make them happen
either through running their own business or social enterprise or by making an idea happen at work.
The campaign is brought to life through the inspirational stories of people, which is why Jan has been chosen as she is
already making her idea happen by selling the furniture she makes all over the world
The campaign aims to recruit 100 ambassadors across the UK, who together will use their stories to inspire others,
through speaking engagements, networking, being profiled in media and getting involved in campaign initiatives.

Jan said - “I am absolutely thrilled to be appointed as one of Girls! Make Your Mark‘s ambassadors.
It is a great honour and really relish the thought of being in anyway able to help
young women get launched into business”.
Alex Ritchie, Girls! Make Your Mark campaign manager said - “It is important that young women have realistic
role models to whom they can look to for inspiration. Jan will join a network
of ambassadors who together will inspire more women in their teens
and twenties to take the plunge and make their ideas happen.”
The Girls! Make Your Mark campaign is part of the wider Make Your Mark campaign that aims to create a culture
of enterprise for young people. The Make Your Mark campaign, run by Enterprise Insight a
not-for-profit organisation, is the national campaign to create an enterprise culture in the UK.
It aims to inspire young people to have ideas and make them happen. The campaign is backed by
an unprecedented coalition of businesses, charities, education bodies and government.
